despite never hearing about this game until now, i can see why this is a classic. i admittedly haven't gotten far at the time i write this review, but i am instantly filled with nostalgia from the inide game scene of the late 2000s to early 2010s. even as someone who didn't grow up on that era, there is something about that era that radiates in games like iji and revenge of the sunfish (i know those two are completely different games, but those are the two games i remember the most from that era).
alright, done talking out my ass. the game honestly still holds up pretty well. the pixel art is pretty good and the music reminds me of games like punky skunk. i would have personally preferred if the movement when you're on the ground was maybe a bit slower but this game is getting a remaster, so who really cares about that?
